Answer
Active Travel schemes in Upper Bann that are currently programmed for delivery in the 24/25 financial year are Mandeville Road, linking Drumgor and Lisnisky, Oak Path linking the proposed Moylinn footbridge to Tullygally and the Cherry path which links the underpass at South Lakes Leisure centre to the Drumgor Centre.
The replacement Active Travel bridge at Moylinn is also being programmed to start on-site in the 24/25 financial year and I have already given a commitment that the bridge at Bannfoot will progress to detailed design stage.
Future delivery will be subject to the successful completion of the relevant processes and availability of funding.
I am enthusiastic about the positive change that active travel can make to the lives of people who want to have greater choice in how they travel, particularly for shorter everyday journeys, or in combination with using public transport.
