Answer
Recent Environmental Improvement works in the area, which were completed by Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council have resulted in changes to the road layout and the arrangement of on-street parking bays. However, as the relevant legislation has not yet been amended to reflect these changes, the associated parking restrictions are currently unenforceable.
Officials have reviewed the existing legislative provisions and are in the process of preparing a new Parking and Waiting Restrictions Order for all streets affected by the scheme.
It is anticipated that the Order will take approximately six months to progress through the necessary statutory procedures.
